SS Great Britain Trip – Year 4 – 27th February 2019

Where are

we going?

Year 4 are taking a trip to SS Great Britain. We will be going as a full year group.

Why are we

going there?

In the second half of the Spring term, year 4 will be learning about the Victorians in their humanities lessons. We are going to visit the SS Great Britain in Bristol.

When are we

going there?

The trip will take place on Wednesday 27th February.  We will leave school at 10:15am and hope to return at 3:00pm.

What should

children bring?

The children will need to bring a snack and a packed lunch with them. No money will be needed by the children on the day.

What about lunch?

If your child receives free school meals please let us know whether you will require us to provide a packed lunch. Please provide a packed lunch if your child is not eligible for free school meals.

What should

children wear?

The children will need to wear their school uniform. Please ensure all children have coats, so they are prepared for any weather conditions.

How much

will it cost?

The cost of the trip is £7.00. This is heavily subsidised by the school.

Parents of Pupil Premium children, please contact the office about the cost.

Please note that if we do not receive enough funding support, it will not be possible for the trip to go ahead.

Please fill in the permission slip below and return it to the office with either money or a cheque made payable to “Somerset County Council” by Friday 8th February 2019. Alternatively, please visit: www.scopay.com/eastoverprimary to log in to your Parent Tucasi account where you can book your child’s place on the trip and make payment.
