Volunteers

We are always looking for volunteers at Eastover Primary School. If you have any special talents or other things you feel you would like to share with the children we would be very grateful. If not and you would like to help with the general running of our busy classrooms that is OK too. This would include supporting children in a variety of curriculum areas, listening to readers etc.

To volunteer you need a DBS certificate that we can help you with. We will also need references to proceed.

Lisa Phillips is the volunteer lead for the school so please see her or show your interest in volunteering at the office.

Volunteer letter for website

Dear parents/guardians,

We are now able to offer you the chance to volunteer in school if you would like to. At Eastover we are very grateful for the support that our volunteers give to our children. We are looking for volunteers to help in a variety of ways in school, such as hearing readers, supporting small groups, changing books etc. However, we would also welcome you in if you have any hidden talents/skills you feel you could share with the children. We are looking for volunteers to come in and work with children throughout the school day. It might be that you are interested in supporting children in a particular subject or you may like to come in to listen to readers.

Please note that we have decided that parent volunteers may not be placed into the same Year Group as their own child. Below you will find the available slots for coming in to help in school. If you are interested please return the form below stating your preferences. You will have to complete a DBS check via email in order to work alongside the children. If you were born in and lived in a different country you may be required to complete a Code of Conduct letter.  We also require references. Initially your placement will be for half a term at a time. Please note that there are a limited number of places so I will let you know via a phone call if you have been successful in gaining a place and to attend the compulsory induction session. Please return the slip to the office if you would like to volunteer in school.

Many thanks,

Mrs Phillips
