Whole School:

It is illegal to use Electric Scooters in public places. These should not be ridden to school or brought on to the school site by any pupils.

Please note that children attending after school sports clubs should wear uniform to school and bring a kit with them to change into.

Please ensure meals are ordered by 11pm on Saturdays for the following week.

There will be a ‘day at the seaside’ menu available to view and book on the school meal ordering app, these include halal and allergen options. The day at the seaside menu will be available on Thursday 21st May.

The Big Brush

From next week, FS and KS1 children will be brushing their teeth for 2 minutes each day.  Please ensure we have your consent letters returned to do this.

They will also be bringing home a tube of toothpaste and a toothbrush which have been given from The Big Brush campaign. Any questions please ask your child's teacher.

KS1 Summer Term reading challenge!

We’re excited to share photos of this week’s KS1 reading challenge!

Sticky Questions for May!

We’re excited to reintroduce Sticky Questions—thought-provoking prompts designed to spark meaningful conversations and develop children’s oracy skills. Each year group will be exploring a different question over the course of the month, encouraging pupils to think deeply, share ideas, and articulate their thoughts clearly. We’d love for you to continue these discussions at home with your child, helping them build confidence in expressing themselves and engaging in dialogue. Look out for this month’s question and enjoy the conversations it inspires!

FS: If you could fly, where would you go?

Year 1: Could a ball be a cube?

Year 2: If ten people are looking at a rainbow, how many rainbows are there?

Year 3: When is it ok to tell tales?

Year 4: Do you get to be happy by trying to be happy or by some other way?

Year 5: Are the good things in life the things we want or the things we should want?

Year 6: How many witnesses equals seeing something with your own eyes?

Important notes for year groups:

FS

Foundation stage will have PE on Tuesday 12th May.

Please ensure you have paid and given consent on MCAS for the upcoming trip to Court Farm.

Year 1 will have PE on Wednesday 13th May.

Please ensure you have paid and given consent on MCAS for the upcoming trip to the Apex.

Year 4

Year 4 swimming is on Monday. Please make sure you are sending your children into school with their swimming kits and towels. Children should come to school wearing PE kits to make changing quicker and easier.

Year 6

We are pleased to invite all Year 6 pupils to attend our SATs Breakfast, which will take place in the school hall each morning from 8:20am to 8:40am during SATs week (please enter school through the main gates). This is a lovely opportunity for the children to come together in a calm and supportive environment, enjoy a light breakfast and settle any nerves ahead of their tests. We encourage all Year 6 pupils to attend and start their day feeling relaxed and ready.
