The sponsored Christmas Fun Run will be taking place on the week commencing 15th December 2025. All children at Eastover will be participating in a Sponsored Fun Run within their PE lesson. A course will be marked out that will include walking, jogging or running around the school. The children will be asked to complete as many laps as they can within a 30-minute time period (each lap will be approximately 400m).

On the day of the run, children will be allowed to wear suitable sports clothing and trainers to school as well as an item of Christmas clothing to enter into the festive spirit. As the run may include the field (weather permitting), I advise children to bring a spare pair of shoes to change into after they have run and a carrier bag.

On completing the run, all children will receive a gift and a medal.

We are asking that children only ask family or friends for sponsorship to participate in this event.

All proceeds will cover the cost of the medal and gift, with any profits being used to purchase PE equipment the children can use at lunchtimes or PE lessons.

On the reverse of the letter sent home is the sponsorship form to be completed. We would be grateful if children raised at least £2 sponsorship to cover the costs of the day.
