KS1 Autumn Reading Challenge WINNERS!
Average reads in KS1 were Hedgehogs with 3.9, Rabbits 2.6, Otters 3.42 and the winners were Foxes, with 4.04! The star reader this week is Drizelia!
Parent’s Evening Parents evening will be on Tuesday 21st October, Wednesday 22nd and Thursday 23rd (Thursday only for Kangaroos). Parents will receive an email on Wednesday 1st October to book an appointment.
Census Day 2nd October Menu There will be an American Diner menu available to view and book on the school meal ordering app. These include halal and allergen options. Please order by 11pm on Saturday 27th September.

Request for Drawstring Recorder Holder Bags We are looking for volunteers that can sew some drawstring bags for Mrs Midenda. If any parents could please help with this, speak to Mrs Midenda or contact the school office.
Flu Vaccination Programme The NHS school nurses will be visiting on October 17th to deliver the vaccination programme (by way of nasal spray), for all children. Please complete the consent form that has been sent out via email.
Women’s Work Lab We are currently accepting applications for our September 2025 cohorts in Bristol, South Glos, Weston-super-Mare and Bridgwater. Our programmes are open to mums (19yrs+) who are looking to find meaningful work. You will need to be not currently working and living in one of the areas currently covered by our funders (Bristol, South Glos, N Somerset & Somerset). Important notes for year groups:
Year 1:
Clarkes Shoemaker Museum Year 1 will be visiting the Clarkes Shoemaker Museum next Wednesday and Thursday. Please log into Scopay to give consent and provide payment ASAP. If you have any queries, please contact the school office.
Year 2:
Year 2 Harvest Service Year 2 will be attending St John’s Church on Friday 3rd October. Parents and carers are invited to watch for a 09:30 start or arrive anytime from 08:45am for coffee.
Year 3:
Year 3 Swimming is on Monday. Please send your child to school with their swimming kit and towel.
