Whole School:

There are children with severe nut allergies in our school. We ask that you do not send any nuts or products containing nuts in lunchboxes or snacks. This includes items such as peanuts, peanut butter, mixed nuts, and products that contain nuts as an ingredient. All staff have recently been trained in anaphylaxis and allergy training in compliance with Benedict’s law.

Individual school photographs will be taken on Thursday 8th October. Unfortunately, this year there will be no sibling photographs.

The NHS School Nursing Team will be visiting school on Wednesday 30th September to deliver the Flu Vaccination Programme via a nasal spray for all children.

Please ensure you complete the consent form that has been sent to you via email, even if you do not wish your child to receive the vaccination.

KS1 Autumn Reading Challenge - Week 2 Results!

A huge congratulations to Otters Class, who are our Reading Challenge winners with an amazing 123 reads this week, giving them an impressive average of 4.9 reads per pupil! What a fantastic achievement. Well, done, Otters!

In second place, Hedgehogs class with 110 recorded reads, with an average of 3.7 reads per pupil.

In third place, Foxes class achieved 92 reads with an average of 3.5 reads per pupil.

Last, but certainly not least, Rabbits Class achieved 85 reads this week, with an average of 2.9 reads per pupil.

Across KS1, children completed a total of 410 reads this week. We are so proud of everyone's enthusiasm for reading!

A special congratulations goes to Ambera in Otters Class, who will be taking home Snuggles for the weekend! Keep reading, KS1. Who will be our champions next week?

Year 2

Year 2 will be attending St John’s Church on Friday 2nd October for their Harvest service. Parents and carers are warmly invited to join us. The service will begin at 9:30am, and refreshments will be available from 8:45am, so please feel free to arrive early for a tea or coffee before the start.

Year 5

We would like to invite you to our Year 5 Class Assembly on Thursday 15th October, from 2:30–3:00pm in the school hall. The children will be showcasing some of the exciting learning they have been doing this term, including Earth and Space, what it would be like to live in a desert and our English unit based on the fantastic book Robot Girl, along with lots more! We would love for you to join us and celebrate the children's learning and achievements.
