Whole School:

We have quite a few class trips coming up over the summer, please could we remind you to check the My Child At School (MCAS) app to ensure that both consent has been given and payment has been completed.

Completing both steps as soon as possible helps us greatly, as it avoids the need to chase outstanding consent or payments.

If you have already done this, thank you for your support. If you experience any issues accessing MCAS, please contact the school office.

Parents are invited to watch sports days:

Year 1/2: Monday 29th June 1-3pm

Year 3/4 Tuesday 30th June 9:30-11:30am

Year 5/6: Tuesday 30th June 1-3pm

Foundation Stage: Wednesday 1st July 1-3pm

KS1 Summer Term reading challenge!

We’re excited to share photos of this week’s KS1 reading challenge!

Helping Our Children Stay Safe workshop for parents and carers, Tuesday 2nd June from 6–8pm.

This session aims to increase awareness of the social, emotional and cultural pressures affecting young people’s safety, while helping families recognise warning signs, understand online and peer risks, and feel more confident having open, supportive conversations at home. Parents and carers can register here: https://benkinsellatrust.beaconforms.com/form/832f4ba8

Important notes for year groups:

Year 4

Year 4’s last swimming session is on Monday. Please make sure you are sending your children into school with their swimming kits and towels. Children should come to school wearing PE kits to make changing quicker and easier.

Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility.

  • If you are concerned about the safety of a child/children, please phone the school office on 01278 422693 and ask to speak to the safeguarding lead.
  • If you have a concern outside of school hours you can contact Somerset Direct on 0300 123 2224 (Daytime) or 0300 123 2327 (Out of Hours) for immediate assistance.
  • You can also report concerns to NSPCC on 0808 800 5000.
  • To support us in safeguarding your children, please make sure that we have at least two up-to-date contact telephone numbers.
  • https://ineqe.com/ is a great website which contains safeguarding information for parents, including E-Safety.
