We hope you all had a great six weeks off and we have had a lovely time welcoming you all back to school this week. We would like to say welcome to our new foundation stage children and those children who have joined other years across the school, we hope you enjoy your time with us here at Eastover.
- Please ensure you have ordered your child’s school lunch for the whole week before midnight on Saturday 7th Sept.
- Please ensure your child is wearing the correct uniform to school every day. Children should not wear jewellery to school. All uniform should be clearly labelled with your child’s name.
- Please make sure you are frequently checking your child(ren) for head lice. If you find live lice, please make sure you are treating them before returning to school.
- Reminder, there are ongoing road closures around the school starting from Monday. Please use the link below to access a letter regarding this:

- Did you know Asda are currently running a promotion where they will donate 0.5% of your shopping bill to your school of choice. You just need the Asda rewards app, add Eastover as your chosen school and remember to scan it when you shop.
- After school clubs will be starting next week. If you wish to book your child onto a club you must do this via Scopay.
- Year 3 swimming will be starting on Monday the 9th. If you haven’t already done so, please visit your child’s online Scopay account to make a payment towards the transport costs.
- Year 6 Residential: If you haven't already done so for the Year 6 Residential to Dartmoor Activity Centre in May, please visit your child's online Scopay account to make a payment in order to secure your child's place.
Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility
- If you are concerned about the safety of a child/children please phone the school office on 01278 422693 and ask to speak to the safeguarding lead.
- If you have a concern outside of school hours you can contact Somerset Direct on 0300 123 2224 (Daytime) or 0300 123 2327 (Out of Hours) for immediate assistance.
- You can also report concerns to NSPCC on 0808 800 5000.
- To support us in safeguarding your children, please make sure that we have at least two up to date contact telephone numbers.
- https://ineqe.com/ is a great website which contains safeguarding information for parents, including E-Safety.
