Whole School Weekly Bulletin 20/06/24

Whole School:

 

 

  • Reports will be sent out via SIMs Parent again this year. Make sure you can log into your account so you don’t miss out. If you need any help, please contact the school office.

 

  • Did you know? Children who read and are read ton practice mental flexibility, an openness to new situations and interpretation and problem solving by formulating and reformulating what might happen in a story.

 

  • Reminder that next week is health week! Please can all children come to school in their PE kit every day.

 

  • There are still limited spaces available for the freestyle football workshop on Thursday after school. Completed sign up sheets and payments in cash must be handed into the office by Wednesday.

Foundation Stage:

  • Foundation Stage sports day is on Tuesday from 1.15pm-3pm. Gates will open approximately at 1:05pm.

 

Year 1:

  • Reminder that all consents and payments are now due for the Year 1 Brean Beach trip on the 27th of June, without these your child will not be able to attend. If your child requires a packed lunch for this trip, please select the ‘school trip’ option on SchoolGrid.
  • Year 1 & 2 sports day is on Monday from 9:30am-11:30am. Gates will open approximately at 9:20am.

 

Year 2:

  • Year 2 swimming is on Monday as usual but this week they have their water safety lesson. The children will need to bring their own clothes to wear on top of their swimming kits for this. Preferably not PE kit if they plan on wearing it the next day.
  • Year 1 & 2 sports day is on Monday from 9:30am-11:30am. Gates will open approximately at 9:20am.

 

Year 3:

  • Year 3 & 4 sports day is on Tuesday from 9:30am-11:30am. Gates will open approximately at 9:20am.

Year 4:

  • Year 3 & 4 sports day is on Tuesday from 9:30am-11:30am. Gates will open approximately at 9:20am.

Year 5:

  • Year 5 & 6 sports day is on Monday from 1pm-3pm. Gates will open approximately at 12:50pm.

Year 6:

  • Year 5 & 6 sports day is on Monday from 1pm-3pm. Gates will open approximately at 12:50pm.

 

Safeguarding is everybody’s responsibility

  • If you are concerned about the safety of a child/children please phone the school office on 01278 422693 and ask to speak to the safeguarding lead.
  • If you have a concern outside of school hours you can contact Somerset Direct on 0300 123 2224 (Daytime) or 0300 123 2327 (Out of Hours) for immediate assistance.
  • You can also report concerns to NSPCC on 0808 800 5000.
  • To support us in safeguarding your children, please make sure that we have at least two up to date contact telephone numbers.
